Nothing says “knife” like the classic Bowie of the American frontier! The Battlecry version makes a tough knife look even tougher with a black finish on the blade, pommel, and guard. This knife was designed to be big, intimidating, and effective against threats existing in the American wilderness - 4 or 2-legged.

The long blade is designed for quickness and forged from 1065 high carbon steel and arrives sharp right out of the box. The blade has a full profile tang for strength and durability and incorporates a traditional Mediterranean notch on the ricasso. The handle is straightforward, with a downkick at the butt, has a lanyard hole, and is stained a stealthy deep black/brown. The blade steel, designed specifically to be used, has a darkened, battle-hardened finish tempered to a low 50s RC.

This pre-sharpened blade has gone through rigorous testing. The hands-on nature of the manufacturing by master smiths makes this line unique.

Includes a matching belt sheath with frontier-style embossing and a leather leg tie. The certificate of authenticity is signed by each smith who touched your blade through every step of the forging process.

Battlecry Collection of historical swords, daggers and knives, axes and bucklers hand forged by Windlass Steelcrafts, the 1065 high carbon steel is tempered in computer controlled ovens to an RC in the low 50's. This ensures strength, resiliency and edge retention. Swords have extra wide full tangs and all weapons are sharpened.

Each model has been put through rigorous physical testing to exceed industry standards. These battle tested weapons have a stone washed, blackened finish. Each is individually inspected at every step of the manufacturing process, and only after passing inspection they receive the armorers stamp on the blade. A certificate is included with each, signed by the craftsman that worked on your blade. Also included is a matching sheath and, when applicable, frog.
